Welcome to the Lab of Jonathan Perreault
Our research interests are non-coding RNA, more precisely bacterial non-coding RNA. RNA elements have been demonstrated to be involved in all aspects of gene regulation, but many more are expected to be found, a lot of research is still needed to find them and better understand their mechanisms.
In parallel, we are developing tools based on nucleic acids with applications in diverse domains ranging from: metabolic engineering and synthetic biology to biosensors and various detection devices.
